Modeling is not like the other regular 9 – 5 jobs but it is a lifestyle. You have to shed all inhibitions and let the industry welcome you into their fold. You should also be ready to face people and society. Dealing with the good and the bad is all part of professionalism.

Modeling needs faith - you need to have faith in yourself and in your profession. A Miss Universe or Miss World has not arrived at that stage by chance – she has put in grueling hours at work and polished herself to reach the zenith of her modeling career.

Networking

One of the main criteria for modeling is to network with the right people and the right agencies. For that you need to have professionally made comp card or a composite card. It has become an essential today. Comp card identifies who you really are, so it is big help in being identified by big private modeling agencies. A comp card has to be designed attractively and professionally, because the first impression is the last impression. The right comp card can make the difference of winning a contract or losing it.

There are numerous agencies and private professionals who abuse their profession. So look out for registered agencies that are genuine and are really interested in boosting your career in the profession of modeling. Watch out for agencies and private professionals who demand money from you before hand; because probably they are just out to make a quick buck.

Genuine modeling agencies have legal paper work and formalities that they complete before they sign you. They give you one copy and they keep the other and with that you have all rights to claim in case of any misconduct or if you have been abused and want to file a case.
